Marc-145 cells were derived from African green monkey embryonic kidney cells. These cells are extensively utilized in vaccine production due to their high sensitivity to porcine blue ear disease virus (PRRSV). JSBio has developed two low-serum media specifically for Marc-145 cells, which enable a reduction in serum dosage to less than 5%. These media also promote faster cell growth and higher titers of virus production.
