BHK-21 cells are derived from the kidneys of juvenile hamsters. They are widely used in the proliferation culture of various veterinary viruses and are an ideal cell line for the preparation of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine. Besides, they can also be applied in the research and large-scale industrialized production of veterinary vaccines such as Newcastle disease, bovine epidemic fever and pseudorabies.
BHK series products are designed for BHK-21 cells. They support high-density suspension culture of BHK-21 cells and enable efficient production of foot-and-mouth disease, pseudorabies and other viruses. They include low serum medium, serum-free medium, expression maintenance solution, and virus production enhancer.
