F81/feline kidney cells are an engineered cell line derived from primary feline kidney cells through passaging and clonal selection. These cells are relatively sensitive to a variety of viruses that affect pets and economically important animals, such as Canine Parvovirus (CPV), Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPLV), Feline Calicivirus (FCV), Feline Infectious Rhinotracheitis Virus (FIRV), and Mink Enteritis Virus (MEV). They are widely used in the preparation of vaccines for these diseases.
F81 LSM 801 and F81 LSM 1287 are two low-serum media that support high-density growth of F81 cells and effectively increase the yield of related pet virus vaccines.
