MDBK cells are derived from the kidneys of adult cattle and find applications in virology, cell biology, and animal vaccine research. Notably, MDBK cells are commonly employed in the production of veterinary vaccines, such as bovine infectious rhinotracheitis virus and bovine viral diarrhea virus. JSBio has successfully conducted suspension domestication culture of MDBK cells and developed a corresponding serum-free cell culture medium called CD MDBK 211. This medium supports high-density suspension culture of MDBK cells and facilitates high-titer virus production.
